2009 Quivira Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

2009 Quivira Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel

You can always count on Quivira vintage after vintage, which is why we consistently award this producer our Quality Value Vintner’s Award (QVV).

We don’t hand them out often because it is not an award that is obtained with one vintage. We give these awards to vintners, who year after year, bring to market quality products that represent an outstanding value. The 2009 vintage hits this mark again producing a balanced zinfandel that is round and opulent; a good amount of acidity keeps it fruit forward and juicy. Flavors of blackberry and plum are soft and pretty, finishing with a hint of black pepper and raspberry. This is a crowd pleaser for those who have tried Zinfandel in the past and thought they were too heavy. 5,363 case production. Drink now or hold through 2014.

Very Good (88) | $20 | 14.8% ABV
