Post Thanksgiving Fun in Oregon’s Wine Country

Post Thanksgiving Fun in Oregon’s Wine Country

If you live in the Pacific Northwest and you love wine, why not join the fun on November 25-27 and sample some of the best wine Oregon and Washington has to offer. This traditional Thanksgiving weekend is the oldest and largest event in the Pacific Northwest and visitors come from miles to visit hundreds of wineries located throughout the Washington and Oregon region.

More than 160 wineries and tasting rooms in the Willamette Valley will open their doors for special tastings and holiday festivities. A great reason to visit during the holidays is that some of the wineries participating are not normally open to the public, so if you have always wanted to drop in, now is the time to visit.

Most wineries charge $10-20, which usually include special tastings, appetizers or music. Others may offer barrel tastings or “future” releases which cost a bit more, typically around $30. Click here for the full lineup of participating wineries and fees.

If you don’t mind the crowds, this event is the perfect way to spend a fun weekend with friends and family. For more information, visit the Willamette Valley events page. The site also has information on plotting your course with wine tasting routes, turn-by-turn directions and a new Willamette Valley Mobile Wine Tour.
