2009 Vina Penalolen Maipo Valley Chile Cabernet Sauvignon

2009 Vina Penalolen Maipo Valley Chile Cabernet Sauvignon

Another great showing for this vineyard from Chile, for the last few vintages this wine has stood above the competition and has caught the attention of quite a few wine lovers whose pockets are not as deep as they used to be. Stylistically this wine tastes a bit more “old world” than a lot of Chilean offerings and that is a good thing. This is a great wine to give as a gift and would be just as welcome at any dinner party or social gathering, especially if you want to be perceived as someone who knows their wines.

Rating: Very Good (89) | $18 | 14.0% ABV
