2005 Bodega Finca Manzanares Vino de la Tierra de Castilla Spain Red Blend

A blend of 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 33% Syrah, this wine will work in a lot of situations. I would probably take a look at this if I was a restaurant wine program director as a candidate for wine by the glass. In a retail environment, it comes from a great vintage and is a value. It is a good wine that will stand alone and satisfy all but the most finicky red wine lover. I thought the aromas were representative of the varietal blend. A wine that is fruit forward with a finish that showcases the flavors and aromas of this blend from this region—juicy and spicy, bold and tasty.

Rating: Good (86) | $20 | 14.0% ABV
