Ripe, rich and tannic, this Malbec from the Uco Valley of Mendoza is quite a crowd pleaser. Shorter cycle grapes like Malbec do well in this area, which is why so many tout this region as a superior for producing great wine. There are plenty of black fruits, cherry and cassis to go around on a full-bodied frame. You will appreciate the superb balance, complex mid-palette and long minerally finish from this no fining, no filtration red blend. Hearty dishes like braised short ribs or lightly smoked Santa Maria style beef tri-tip would really showcase this wine! 50,000 case production.
Rating: excellent (92) | $18 | 14.6% ABV
