French Farmers Feed Cattle Two Bottles of Wine a Day

Some might say an apple a day keeps the doctor away.  But in France, two bottles of wine a day keep the cows happy. And tipsy, I’m sure. According to French farmers, happy cows make better tasting meat. Hey, I’m not making this stuff up.

Head over to ABC news. They wrote an article about giving Cattle Two Bottles of Wine Per Day. I found the full story on Le Point.fr, a French publication that wrote, “Gastronomy: when a farmer puts wine in its cattle” and translated it to English for your enjoyment. Moo!

What do you think? Is this a crazy idea? It seems as though French cows have a leg up on happy California cows!
