Wine Review: 2010 Dry Creek Vineyard Sonoma Sauvignon Blanc

I never grow tired of the efforts put forth with Dry Creek vineyards. This Sauvignon Blanc, now in its third vintage in the Fumé line bringings flavors of refreshing melon, orange, tart citrus, lemon-lime and tropical flavors. Its long and tangy finish makes it a perfect food wine. A classic pairing that would work well is chèvre (goat cheese), a regional Loire favorite worth a try.  Pick up some Crottin de Chavignol, a chèvre many will argue is the world’s finest cheese from the Sancerre region in France—you will be in heaven with this pairing. Seafood and oysters will also knock this out of the park. Drink through 2014.

Rating: Very Good (89) | $16 | 13.5% ABV
