Intense aromas of blackberry entwined with anise and clove wafted from the glass as I poured myself a taste. Full-bodied and richly structured the flavor train pulled away from the station and just kept chugging along with elegance and grace. Dark berry fruit, savory herbs and a hint of vanilla bean round out the flavor profile. A decade or more of cellaring will reward if you have that kind of patience. This would be a great wine to have around for major celebrations as well.
