Wine Review: 2011 François Chidaine Les Argiles Vouvray

This is an assemblage of several certified biodynamic parcels, which surround the Clos Baudoin in the Loire. The average age is 40-years on the vines. Subtle mineral, lime and citrus aromas lead to an orange blossom, honeysuckle and mineral backbone with clean lines and fresh acidity. Medium long finish is pure and enticing. Halibut with a grapefruit Beurre blanc would be delightful as well as mild poultry dishes. Drink now through 2014.

Rating: Very Good (88) | $21 | 13.5% ABV

FC is one of my favorite French producers from the Loire. He makes exceptional Chenin Blanc year after year and this vintage is no exception!
