2009 Monteverro Chardonnay ~ Tuscany, Italy

If your one of those wine drinkers in the ABC crowd (Anything But Chardonnay) this wine will change your mind about this white varietal. Wicked good, pure quality, high end Chardonnay from Tuscany, who knew? The nose opens with aromas of juicy ripe pear, notes of citrus zest and fresh scraped vanilla bean. The flavors develop a concentrated citrus and mineral whack attack on your palate flowing smoothly into a creamy expression similar to the flavors of crème anglaise. The finish continues the broad swath of minerality, finishing clean. Stuffed Zucchini Blossoms to any of the delicious seafood served along the Maremma coast would pair great!

Agreed on the ABC on this wine. This is a good Chardonnay to change your mind about the grape.
