Ponzi Vineyards Sparkling Grape Juice
The second generation owned and operated winery at Ponzi Vineyards releases a festive beverage that can be enjoyed by all ages.
Family owned and operated for nearly 45 years, Ponzi Vineyards debuts a small production sparkling grape juice this month. Made from 100 percent Gewürztraminer, Cugini, meaning “cousins” in Italian, is the brainchild of second generation winery owners, sisters Luisa and Maria Ponzi.
“The inspiration for this bottling came from our children. At family events, everyone should have a special beverage in hand to toast with,” explains Maria Ponzi. The Ponzi cousins not only were the inspiration for the sparkling juice, but they also provided the vision for the packaging design– a sophisticated, fresh aesthetic with a playful twist. Eight different, punchy colors are representative of their eight unique personalities.
Only 100 cases of this sparkling grape juice will be sold at the three Ponzi Vineyards tasting rooms, as well as online at ponziwines.com. The juice was officially unveiled at a winery brunch on Mother’s Day weekend at the Sherwood location.
Just 40 minutes from downtown Portland, the Ponzi Vineyards Winery in Sherwood is a breathtaking Chehalem Mountains destination. The 40-acre property is home to a modern tasting room, state-of-the-art winemaking facility and 25 acres of vines. Thriving under the leadership of the second generation for more than 20 years, Winemaker Luisa Ponzi and President Maria Ponzi have practiced a philosophy of innovation, experimentation, sustainability and achieving consistent excellence in their wines.
