2011 Ponzi Vineyards Chardonnay Reserve

Wine Review: 2011 Ponzi Vineyards Chardonnay Reserve, Willamette Valley, Oregon

The Ponzi Vineyards Chardonnay Reserve is a wonderful unfiltered Chardonnay that is quite refreshing and vibrant. You’ll taste layers of pear, apples and cream that finishes long and strong. They sourced the fruit primarily from the Aurora Vineyards in the Chahelem Mountains, with a small percentage from Dundee Hills. It was whole cluster pressed and fermented in barrel using wild yeast. Pair it with seafood. The winery recommends curries as well! 1,015 case production.

Rating:  Excellent (92) | $30 | 13.2% ABV
