Trivento Malbec Reserve

Wine Review: 2013 Trivento Malbec Reserve, Mendoza, Argentina

In a sea of offerings that are mostly fantastic, this Malbec stands out from the crowd. Offering up complex aromas including a barnyardy (not bretty) sinewy masculine bouquet that also includes seductive chocolate and cherry+ blue+ berry aromas.

Soft texture and velvety tannins move the sensory experience into high gear as the wine spreads across the palate with a swath of dried red berries, plum, mocha and a good dose of herbaceous spice.

Jump up and run to find this one as it will not last long on the shelves and it would be hard to find cuisines that will not pair well; just shy away from delicate white fish and citrusy sauces. Enjoy!

Rating: Very Good (89) | $11 | 14.0% ABV
