Wine Review: 2009 Quinta do Noval Cedro do Noval, Portugal
Rustic yet refined, exciting in the way you experience the emotion of the wine. It expresses flavors that are foreign yet familiar, like the voice of a really close old friend you’ve not seen in a while. The kind you might walk a tightrope with because you know they have great balance and a sense of humor (even if it is a little dark).
So now you have to ask yourself, is he still talking about the wine? Restraining the unfolding of this wines’ story, the tannins are in check. Just give it some room to breathe and you will enjoy the rest of the story immensely. Having a supporting cast of lamb burgers would complete the show.
