Do you enjoy a fine viniferous libation but have an aversion to operating a motor vehicle after participating in such activities? I too resemble that remark and I wholeheartedly applaud all who have the wisdom to avoid that situation. There is an upcoming wine affair that I am recommending for anyone who is interested in furthering their wine journey while becoming acquainted or reacquainted with some of our best local wineries. It’s happening on a Thursday night which makes it a perfect excuse to get your weekend started a day early.
On August 27th from 4-8PM a fun new summer event is taking place at the new Orenco Station Plaza in Hillsboro. The North Willamette Vintners Association is presenting a unique opportunity to taste wines from 15 of their member wineries. The North Willamette Valley is home to both small micro-craft operations and large scale international distribution wineries. With many growing biodynamic or organically farmed fruit, some of the finest wines in the world are being made here.
The event I am introducing is Taste The North Valley and the venue is only steps away from the Orenco Station Max stop, for ticket information click here. The wise folks at North Willamette Vintners Association have put together an event where you can use public transportation to come out and have a good time while checking out all the new changes in the Orenco Station neighborhood.
One of the best aspects of this tasting is the range of wineries pouring on that night. Seldom will you find an event where you will be able to taste such a wonderfully diverse selection of wineries. Montinore Estate, one of the best and largest estate wineries producing biodynamic fruit will be there pouring some of their tastiest wines. You will also have the opportunity to taste some of Adam Campbell’s Award Winning wines from Elk Cove Vineyards. Thirteen other North Willamette Valley Winery Association members will be pouring too including Sake One, to see the full list click here. There will be food served by Orenco Station Grill and Salam Restaurant. Did I mention you need to start your weekend a day early ? Come on over to Orenco Station Thursday August 27th for some fine libations and tasty treats while enjoying the music of 23 Window.
