2013 Kunde Cabernet Sauvignon Drummond

Kunde has a new look for the 2013 vintage with an updated label, and they have stepped up in class with a renewed vigor of quality in their current production.  The 2013 Kunde Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Drummond’ designation from Sonoma Valley is a tightly knit package reflecting a bouquet of red and blue fruits with freshly caramelized sugar kissed by cinnamon stick aromas.

The red raspberry chocolate component dominates the flavor profile, leaving only nuances of crushed rock minerality mingled with cigar-box notes. This wine defines what is capable at this level of value when considering California Cabernet. Kunde is back in a big way!  Grab a few bottles of this if you are gifting wine for those hard to please jaded palates that never seem to be impressed or satisfied.

Rating: Excellent (91) | $50 | 14.6 % ABV
