Made with organic grapes, this wine is a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinto Cão. The vines that produced the grapes for this wonderful blend are thirty years old giving them enough vitality to still produce vigorous and complex berries while showcasing the depth maturity can bring to the flavor profile.
The blend is well rounded featuring white pepper and violets on the nose and luscious red raspberry, sweet red plum with some slate minerality and spice on the lengthy finish. Macdaddy it up and serve with a Portugal’s favorite cousin to Philly Cheesesteak, the ‘Francesinha.’
